Hi all,
Quick question. I've just done a clean install of Windows 8.1 PRO x64 onto my new Crucial MX100 256GB SDD. I installed from my Windows 8.1 DVD.
I accessed the boot menu in the normal way to select my DVD drive as the boot device to start the install. However, there were two boot options for my DVD drive: the first was just the name of the DVD Drive (as normal), the second (which I have not noticed before) was the name of my DVD drive with 'UEFI' next to it...so I picked that.
Now when Windows loads I get the 'Asus' logo instead of the blue Windows logo, however, with the usual turning circular blobs underneath it.
Any ideas?
PS> Also noticed that the Windows setup loaded up in the native res of my monitor (1080) soon after booting from the DVD, never seen that before. Aside from the DVD drive, the SSD was the only drive connected at the time of install.
Aside from this, all is well and I'm about to start getting all the updates.
