Hi,nasty , l wonder what coolent he was using was the debris on the block hard to get off, to me it looks like sediment build up from hard water. l wonder what his rad was like inside and his temps. :)

we have actucal seen this before with a mix of plasticizer from xspc tubing and our pastel coolant. It created that mess a while back and so very close to what we saw. The cheap tubing that shipped with the kit caused that to happen. When i approached XSPC they tried to blame us so we had it doubled checked and it was there tubing leaching all the plastic into the system then our coolant getting caught up in it. It did cause back pressure and blew off a tube. btw we thought it might have been a one off this proves it wasn't.

wow, not sure what you guys have been doing with your cpu blocks lol!. Cammy, you do know that the internal plate hasn't been sitting correctly inside your block? - Look at the watermarks/stains on the silver plate - they're off centre!

Had mine over a year and I recently cleaned it out (about a month ago) - theres was only an ever so slight build up in the internal fins but nothing as major as the top post or as bad as the post above!

tbh - this has happened with all cpu water blocks I have owned. Theres always a bit of crap in the water or other components which gets flushed into the tightest spot (i.e. CPU block fins) - nothing to be worried about tbh (unless like the OP!) as its usually recommended to clean out water setups every say 6 months or so. ;)

Most of the crap comes with the tube leaching(lot of that is going about nowadays)
I changed my clear XSPC tubing to Black and my new EC6 had to changed again :(

Its most likely moved when I turned it over as I think it would all need to be lined up to go back together correctly.
remember mine is in a loop with 4 litres of fluid and a chiller.
I did use xspc tubing for a while so that maybe explains it running much higher quality black tubing now so hopefully next time wont be so bad

I'm sure when we stop buying the XSPC tubing mate, they'll realise ;)
Thanks for the heads up - i'll add it to my list of piping products to beware of

Id love you to send this direct to XSPC kinds of proves we were not to blame.

Wish I had taken pics when I changed to black XSPC tubing! I thought I have done something wrong!

mlwood37 >> can you please have a look at this thread?
I tried sending you a trust email but it is not going for some reason.

feel free to pass it on to them

but who knows if it was used with xspc tubing.... although it is being used with it right now lol

i wanted clear so i could see it, i thought it might be useful more then for aesthetics... oh well
