This might be a weird question, but i havent had this long, but somehow its got loads of annoying marks on it, you only really noticed them when its turned off or on a dark screen or whatever, but what should you use to clean it properly without making it worse? Would a normal cloth be ok?

thanks

I also need to clean a few marks of my new Dell 2007WFP and do not know what to use so that i do not get streaks like i have ALWAYS in the past and it really messes the appearance up. Im thinking a very slightly damp cloth which only has a tiny amount of water left in it once its been rung out.
Can anyone shed some light on this and what the best option is to have a streakyless monitor

My girlfriend has a 19" ws. She gets really grumpy if it has any marks on it and tried various cleaning 'products' but eventually deciding nothing is more effective than a soft tissue and a bit of water :)

How accurate that is i couldn't say but it always looks clean

All you need is some water with a tiny bit of mild cleaner (washing-up liquid) wipe screen using a soft lint free cloth (cloth for cleaning glasses is ideal) and same to dry it after...

Q. What's The Best Way To Clean a TFT Screen?

The simplest and cheapest way to clean a TFT screen is with a slightly damp cloth, wipe off the left behind water with a towel or similar then smooth/dry completely with a yellow polishing/dusting cloth. Be careful not to use products such as toilet paper and kitchen roll as they contain lint and can leave scratches on your beloved screen! Cleaning solution from opticians and lint free clothes for lens cleaning are also very good.

For the perfectionist, there is "Lindy" brand TFT cleaner. It costs about £4 for a pump-dispenser. You can pick it up at office supply stores and computer fairs.

Taken from the stickie.
