Hey,

Just about to stick my old e6600 into MM and im out of TIM cleaner. And its to cold out to go get some more :p

Are there any household products which could easily do the job ? Or should i wipe off the old AS5 with kitchen roll or something ?

Help or constructive criticism welcome :D
 
Haha :D

Afraid theres no Chinese vodka in the house, or Polish vodka. Theres a bottle of Gordons gin though :p

Any other ideas ?
 
I don't know - the first question was kind of asking if it would work.

It might leave some sort of residue or something.
 
that's what I've got - it's great and you only need a couple of drops of each. And you get 30ml of each, I can't see it running out any time soon anyway.
 
really its best to use the "proper" stuff save damaging your CPU and do the job well rather than run the risk of messing up £££'s of hardware for the sake of £5

Thatll leave a residue. You need to use the proper stuff or something like pure isopropyl alcohol (IPA/rubbing alcohol). Nail varnish remover uses acetone which is also perfect, but it isnt pure and therefore you will get residues when it dries.

if you use anything else, use distilled water (tap water is good enough) to clean residues and let it dry.
