I know I could just lightly dampen a towel and wipe it over but in past experience that creates smudge marks that don't look all that great. Anyone got good experience with proper cleaning products?

I use a lightly dampened microfiber cloth, followed be immediately wiping down with a bone dry one.

Used a gel screen cleaner with microfiber a while back, seemed to work ok but I still prefer my normal method.

Never use a towel lol or any other abrasive cloth just buy yourself a soft lint free microfibre cloth or use one of those cloths you get with your tv/monitor or glasses.

Never used any cleaning products i just dampen the cloth slighty and wipe downwards:)

methylated spirits and a cotton ball will work

as will regular furniture polish and a soft cloth, done mine using those and its fine

but if you care about it....pledge:D

mines a matte screen, just a little on a cloth and wipe over/buff clean

I have always followed the advise I got from Panasonic when I asked them about cleaning my plasma screen.

Stay away from so called screen cleaning solution as they can damage any antiglare coating the screen may have.
Use a soft microfiber cloth dampened with either distilled or deionised water (normal tap water will leave water marks). For dirty stubborn marks use 1 drop of dishwashing detergent mixed with the water to dampen your cloth then wipe again using a different cloth dampened with just the water.

This method has always worked a treat for me leaving a nice clean, smear free screen and without using any of the so called screen cleaning products that just end up leaving smear marks all over the screen.
