I recently got my old water rig back from my "mate" who used it for a few weeks then put it in a box room for years. the pipes are full of algae.

it's an eheim 1250 pump and i'm only really bothered about this bit, the rad only cost £1 and wont be reused, or the maze3

can i clean all the algae out of the pump and if so how?
ty folks

cheers dude, hoping not to have to use it, but i think i'm going to have to to fit modern bits in my old cm201 which i am stubbornly refusing to change :D

Be careful with boiling water it can dmg the pump motor best way is setup a small loop of about 1 meter of tube with water with Chlorine this is the best algea killer give it 48 hours and you're all set.
