Hi,
seems a weird question but How do you all maintain your ps3?
as in wiping it, or any covers to cover the whole set to prevent dust or what kind of cloth to wipe it to prevent scratches?

I just give it a wipe with a lint free cloth to avoid scratching it;) Would'nt suggest covering it though....needs ventilation

I get the wife to do it ;)

no seriously, I use a hoover on the vents (we have cats) to get rid of any dust build up there, and just a soft dry cloth to wipe it over with (i use one I got with my HDTV for cleaning the screen)

Basically try to keep the room/area around the PS3 dust-free by hoovering everywhere. Then use some Mr Sheen and a cloth to clean your PS3 :) Looks good as new afterwards... well except for the corners and grills..

I hate the black on the PS3, why did they design it in such a way that it attracts all the dust in the room!!!

wipe with a cloth, blow some compressed air in there to shake up the dust then hoover the **** out of it :D

I don't clean it, I can only see dust when daylight is shining directly on it and my room is very dim lit.

So really it just looks black and shiny, even though I'm sure under the right light it's dusty as hell.

Whats the point in that then? Just to test if the fans working?

Set's the fan to highest speed, Essentially it's just to test the fan, But it goes above max fan speed ever does during actual use, and it sets off with such a whoosh, it usually blows out any dust that's settled on the fan or near by
