Cleaning AS5

Would meths be suitable? I'm having a bad day, and am unsure where to get Isopropyl (last time I went to the chemist to try and find some, I was told they didn't sell it because of fire-based-abuse, pretty sure he thought I just wanted to burn it or something =\ )

I've got some arctic silver on my processor pins, and don't want to pay/wait for the AS cleaning solution.

Just got a new graphics card, too. :(

Make sure you clean this off properly, AS5 can have a capacative effect, and this could be a big problem if it's not cleaned thoroughly.
 
I've used vodka quite a few times in the past when desperate, try using it with a cocktail stick or similar.
 
Psh, next time I'll name my thread with more innuendo in mind. :D

It's all working now, despite pins being bent and there being aS5 all over half a row on one side. Got to love persistance and 14 year old... surgical spirit.

Swear to god, no one would sell me any kind of solvent. Probably didn't help that I walked into every shop looking a bit desperate and muttering about finding a fix- anything would do. =)
