ok, well my cousin somehow got candle wax all over his laptop screen lol.
He then tried to rub it off, but it just made it worst.
So the question is how do you remove candle wax from a laptop screen.

Gently warm it up with a hair dryer and then use the credit card.

Pick at it

Hot damp cloth

Will need to give it a good clean

Sounds like a real disaster :eek: I'd be very careful of scratching the screen with a credit card, but I can't really think of anything else. Maybe dip a scrunched up tissue in hot water, squeeze in till the excess moisture is gone then place it on the wax for a minute with the screen flat. The heat might melt it just enough to free it in one whole blob. Don't rub the screen with the tissue though, that will also scratch it. Lint free cloth to get rid of what's left, maybe again with some hot water. Obviously don't use excessive heat.

@phil14
well he said he didnt have a lighter, so lit a candle from the stove went back to his room and was playing warcraft 3, went light up his cig. and somehow splashed the wax over his screen.

I know for shure that WD40 will remove wax crayon and it my work for candle wax, for instance when my kids have drew on the walls with wax crayons i have used nothing but WD40 and a cloth and it comes of with very little effort.

I would first try with a hair dryer and a lint free cloth to remove the thick of the wax, after that i would use WD40 with a lint free cloth and finally i would use a lint free cloth soaked in luke warm water and a little bit of washing up liquid, wring the cloth out untill it's slightly damp and rub the screen over.
