I stuck a sticker on my old aluminium case when i used it, now i have a new case and im selling my old one so i need to get the sticker off. it doesn't peel off it just rips and causes mess.
i managed to boil the kettle and hold the case over to use the steam to loosen it but theres still a fair bit of gluey residue left over that wont come off,
iv tried using vodka on it as thats only spirit i had in my house.

can anyone tell me what i need to use to get rid of all the mess left behind??

thanks.

use something like cooking oil or baby oil might help get it off, put it on a cloth and let it sit for a wee minute

White spirit should do a better job than the vodka, but seems like its pretty stubborn if the vokda didnt move it, failing that maybe a more industrial chemcial maybe

mayonnaise believe it or not is perfect for old stickers saw it on that
how clean is your house thing.
also white vinegar for the win !

i solved the problem, i found some stuff called "sticky stuff remover" in my cupboard, looked about 40 years old and i loved the name so much i thought id try it as its straight to the point...amazing stuff, got it off no problem. wonder if its still sold these days.lol
