Oki guys need some cleaning help please

I was out today for a spin on my MV F4 and have melted a bit of my boot on the pipe as they come past foot rest! When I got home (so it was still warm) I tried to clean with just water but doesnt even touch it. Any advice how to get it off or what to use? Its black plastic off my boot!

Cheers

no not if its fine wire wool and your gentle

any faint scratches if any will polish out with metal polish or autosol, ive done It many times on my downpipe

Alternatively just autosol and plenty of elbow grease. And pick at it with your fingernails.

Would suggest against wire wool as even the fine stuff will leave faint scratching/dull the metal.

Try tar/glue remover on the rubber to begin with and then use a microfibre with autosol to slowly polish the metal.
