Cleaning gloss screen without it ending up a smeared mess?

My dad recently got a new monitor with a gloss screen and well, what does everyone use to clean without leaving it a smeary mess?

I've got a matt screen and that's no problem, no smears after cleaning. Gloss seems impossible.

I've tried antec natural cleaning wipes.
Damp microfibre cloth with normal water and distilled

Both clean it fine, but leave horrible smears behind. Dry microfibre cloth after to try and shoo them, just seems to push the smears around .

Any tips on getting rid of the smears on a gloss screen?

Shouldn't be hard but apparently I suck at it .

I use some Phillips screen cleaning gel spray and a microfibre cloth, never had any problems with smears on my gloss laptop screens or phone screens.

You must have did it wrong it has to be clean and the microfibre that is dry, Be fast being honest i use water a wet microfibre followed by a dry one done fast enough should work.

And yea work the smears you gotta push and polish them push them to the edges it will never be mirror clean but at worst i get a few water droplet marks.
