Just noticed that I have a hair inside my D80 and as I have never cleaned inside the camera before I was wondering if you guys know of any guides/tips on what to use and how to go about it?

rocket blower. lock the mirror, remove lens, turn camera so its facing down and then use the blower to blow the dust out.

Thanks for the replies, what about the sensor, is there any special way of cleaning that - there seems to be a load of expensive cleaning products available to clean that. Are they recommended?

Eclipese solution is widely used and sensor swipes (although other people say they are a waste of money and make their own using pec pads).

Never tried it before but a compressed air duster might do the trick.

Never use compressed air, the liquid propellants can condense on the sensor and damage it. Just use a hand-blower like a Rocket Blower or its hundreds of competitors, or sensor swabs if it's really gunked up.

again i wouldnt bring compressed air anywhere near my camera!
I used a senorklear pen to clean my sensor - you have to give it a few goes to get rid of the stubborn dust specs. Its a lot cheaper than swap/eclipse fluid combo.
