Hey everyone,

Can i get some advice please?

I am about to clean out the inside my PC and after watching a few videos a lot of people use cans of air to blow the dust out.

My question i can i use any can of compressed air? or is there a special type of can?

The reason i ask is because i know they can spray out like a ice type substance and i am worried if this could damage any of the componets in the case like the Mobo or my GPU.

Do you guys use cans of air?, if so what type?

Thanks guys

I bought one these cans of air for cleaning my PC systems and other electric Components ;)

Same as chid76 mentioned.

I use the same stuff. Recently bought 3 bottles actually.

Just remember to spray it sparingly. I tend to spray little blasts here and there where needed. Also try not to point at your components just in case although ive had no issues with my PC from using them.

Hope this helps.

I use a soft paint brush, Henry Vacuum Cleaner and blow hard with my mouth, Worked for me for the past 25 years ;)

Pump for an air bed, the best/most powerful one you can find for the cheapest price. Think I spent 20quid on mine and it'll last longer than a can of air.

You'll find the cans of air get really cold really quick and the power really starts lacking until the tin has heated back up.

Certainly dont do it while its on if using compressed air! :)

I use compressed air, works fine! The "ice type substance" is a propellant and will only come out if the can is held upside down so be careful and hold it upright. Like others have said, use it in short bursts and be careful with fans, you should hold them so they don't spin when you spray them as the force of the air can cause them to spin really fast possibly damaging them. Air compressors are good to but only really worth it if you are cleaning a lot of builds as cans can get quite expensive! I also recommend wearing gloves or something when using a can as the can can get really cold possibly leading to frostbite.

Frostbite? From a can of cold air?

Not sure if srs...

problem with compressors is the air they spray isnt dry and can thus damaged components..
unless filtered and with a vapor trap inline..
