My case is a huge mess inside, so im planning on re-wiring it and giving it a good clean and sticking some better fans.

Can i use the cans of compressed air on a motherboard?? Because it is covered in dust

Any ideas??

Compressed air cans are fine for computer components, and if you're taking stuff out to install new bits it might be worth taking everything out and giving the inside of the empty case a vacuum or wipe with a damp cloth.
I wouldnt blow too much on things, as I dont like the risk of gobbing on stuff or breathing in the clouds of dust I've just disturbed!

PK!

I came down with a nasty dose of coughs after cleaning out all the office computers (6 or so) a week ago. Still have some coughing left in me ;)

Those computers hadn't been touched since 512mb RAM was top of the range. That's about 5 years worth of dust and cobwebs. Literally cobwebs all over a few of them. I could blow in and it would look like the computer was seriously smoking. My boss came out and freaked thinking that I'd set it on fire somehow.

lol sounds like fun to me darg

Does overclockers sell compressed air? Im hating the way internet stores have changed so that your first order must be delivered to your home address bearing in mind im a uni student who live no where near my billing address !!!
