Cleaning kit

Hi.

I finally managed to get hold of some watercooling kit..but it is used .

Just wondering on what's the best way to clean it all...
Connect it up (pump , res, rad) and run tap water first then a flush with deionised?
Or is there some other fancy way.

I hooked mine up to the outside tap and just run it for 10 mins then run it through with deionised water (halfords 5l bottles are dirt cheap).

Yeah, I'm sure I read that somewhere which is why I mentioned it..looks like that's what I'm doing

And does anyone use deionised water in their loops these days or is it all fancy liquids ?
This is for an alpha cool 1080 rad which I will mount to the base of my 20u rack.
I now have a 5900x so it really needs some cooling

all i use and a silver coil ..
