Hi, just got myself a lovely second hand Lian Li PC A70B in cracking condition but was wondering what is the best way to clean up the inside bare aluminium and the outside black finish. Also is there anyway to sort of seal the finish so your fingerprints dont mark it. Any advice appreciated.

For the internals of my A70F i use a paint brush and compressed air. On the outside i use a microfibre cloth, they do tend to show up fingerprints easily, on my previous akasa eclipse 62 i used a tiny amount of furniture polish on a microfibre cloth, worked wonders but i havent tried that on the A70F yet.

Cleaning bare aluminium of the brushed variety is best done as follows.

Remove loose dirt and dust with a used microfibre cloth.
For stains or spills (we all know coffee and cola get everywhere) use something mildly acidic like vinegar. But if you dont want it to smell bad, take my personal tip...

Nip down Tesco, pick up a bottle of Daisy all purpose cleaner (spray bottle)
Give the case a going over with this using a clean microfibre to get the crap off.
Then to bring up the shine, use window/glass/mirror cleaner- Windowlene and the like.

I did this when I was rebuilding my lian-li (very old model- dont know which)
and it looked good as new!

Bit mucky again now like...
