Hi all having my MacBook pro now for about a month, when the screen is dark i can see a few marks on the screen and some finger prints.
What is the best way to clean the screen? I have tried a microfibre cloth but there is a few slightly more stubborn ones.

Any advice on this would be good.

just get some all purpose cleaner from the supermarket

they do ones that are suitable for all surfaces that are gentle. Can't remember the name of mine but its what i use.

I just use the cloth that came with the MBP, dampened a little if needed. Works great.

Oh right. Mine was the late 2009 model, dunno if they've stopped including them since.

I put a microfiber cloth in the sink, completely soak it then rinse it so it's still damp but not dripping with water, then I go side to side on the screen, I then use a dry cloth to get rid of any smearing.

I think Apple recommend this way on their website.

I used a slightly damp lint free cloth, that's all it needs. Forget paying money for fancy cleaning fluids, you don't need them.

Not knowing what I needed, I bought the fancy cleaning fluid from the Apple store :(

It does work really well though, and you need such a tiny bit at a time the cost has long since been forgotten.

Damp microfibre to wipe down the case and screen and then a once over with a dry one!

I'd wouldn't recommend using kitchen towel on the screen as that stuff is sometimes quite rough and might put tiny scratches on the screen!

I don't have a MBP but it should be in the 'everything mac' wallet which contains the discs and apple stickers. Can't imagine it being different on any of the mac range tbh.

Ah I never opened those, I'll have a look later.

I use a microfibre cleaning cloth to remove dust etc, and then anti-bacterial cleaning wipes to clean the keyboard/trackpad once a week or so.

Haven't opened the pack with the discs etc in so didn't even know there was a cloth included, will have to take a look later.
