What is the best stuff for cleaning the thermal goop from a motherboard cpu socket after removing it from phase cooling?
Ive used akasa tim cleaner on the proc but it took quite a while to dry throughly, so I would prefer to use a product that evaporates quickly on the socket.
Any suggestions.
Tom :)

I use Servisol but only as it's easily available from a high street electronics shop. Does the job well though.

No but seriously, I know you guys using phase have used some form of alcohol for cleaning.
If you culd give me a clue as to what it is and where to get it (chemist Im assuming) I would be gratefull.
Also just a quick question Kesnel. My Vapo is eating temp sensors like theres no tomorrow, have you any idea what could cause this. (I do make sure they are securely fitted)

That was quick. Do M*****s stock it?

IPA is an alcohol, standing for Isopropyl alcohol as opposed to India Pale Ale. ;)

Another vote for servisol IPA 170. 400ml spray can £4.99 from the above 'high street electronics store' :)
