Cleaning office chairs?

I have an office chair at home that I sit on when I'm at the PC.

I've had it for about a year now so I think it could use a clean.

Is there any way to properly clean the cloth and the foam beneath it, or is it just a case of hoping it doesn't get manky and then eventually replacing it?

No stains

It's black... so if there were any stains (there are none (and I've done nothing that might cause any)) they wouldn't show.

No, but I've just searched him and I'm not taking it literally if that's what he's famous for... I should have added a whistle at the end of that.
