Hi guys. I'm currently cleaning my Bosch oven. I've hand scrubbed all the shelves and side supports. Removed the glass light cover and scrubbed that, although there are still black bits that won't come off, but looks a lot cleaner than before. I've just unclipped and removed the oven door, unscrewed the glass side, cleaned it thoroughly and put it back together.

I'm about to spray Mr.Muscle oven inside the oven cavity but this is where I'm stuck. Apparently the grill element mustn't get any chemical on it. Problem is, how do I clean the roof that the element is attached to? I can't remove the element without removing the whole built in oven, and if I spray Mr.Muscle between the loops of the element, it will undoubtedly drip onto the element. What's the worst that will happen if it does get Mr.Muscle on it?

My guess is it's just a health and safety thing. You get chemical on the element, element heats up and you inhale the chemical (or it catches fire if it's flammable :p). I'd just go for it and spray it down. Sometimes life is easier just ignoring the instructions! Correct me if I'm wrong here, but I can't see how it would break anything? Just open windows etc. and run it full whack for 30 mins or so after cleaning. Did ours recently like this and haven't had a problem- came up really nicely.

I'll do that then, thanks. I think you're probably right about the health aspect of inhalation of chemicals. I just wasn't sure if the element material might start to disintegrate.

I might buy some Oven Pride as this Mr.Muscle doesn't seem that great. :/

I spent this morning cleaning the oven interior. Left Mr.Muscle on for 2 hours then wiped and scrubbed. The results are 'ok' but the side walls still aren't visually clean enough for my liking. I think it's baked on carbon? Here's a gallery of pics of the process.

My microwave is now very clean although it wasn't that dirty. My oven door is spotless now. I decided to put bacofoil around the oven element :p What do you reckon about the side walls, do it again or leave it?

How about this stuff? http://www.amazon.co.uk/Vanquish-Ca...414595067&sr=8-4&keywords=oven+grease+cleaner
