Cleaning/protecting suede

So, I have a pair of. Shoes and now belt in suede.

The belt was particularly hard to source. In fact I can't see any more in the colour I need.

I know suede needs special care before it gets used. What products do I need to use?

Try sandpaper I heard it works wonders.

I just use the suede/nubuck cleaner spray/foam you get in supermarkets or shoe repair places, combined with a brush like this link (usually use rubber bristle side)

I have a decent, and rather expensive, suede jacket which I've worn about three or four times due to being paranoid about it raining.

I use nikwax cleaner and waterproofing spray on my nubuck/suede shoes.
Also, a dry cleaning bar and a brush.
