Cleaning soffits

Hi

Wife wants us to buy a pressurised soffit cleaner for £100 but how do you guys clean your soffits please?

We already have a pressure washer (Karcher K2), so I'm wondering if it'd be cheaper to figure out a way to use that?

I'm not sure of the process either really. Is special detergent required, or is a blast with fresh water normally sufficient?

Are they painted timber?

Looks like they're mostly PVC. Same method applies? Sounds like I'm overcomplicating this! Just need a tall ladder then.

I'm a bit scared of using a ladder that goes that high. Heard of so many people breaking backs etc. I think I might be too puss for that.

Update. Found someone that did the soffits, gutters, and window cleaning for £100. Pretty good job too.
