Morning,

Looking to wash my car properly from the off, what products/methods would you guys recommend? I've got a Nilfisk pressure washer and a decent chamois but thats about it. Have heard good things about foam lances, but not sure which specific ones are solid etc, so any advice appreciated, am looking to fully stock up on everything so a shopping list and how to apply it all would be brilliant!

Thanks.

I am just getting into this as well as I am due to pick up my new car tomorrow :D:D:D:D

A good place for info is Detailing World

One thing I was told though is to bin the chamois real or synthetic and get decent microfiber drying towel's like the Auto Finesse Aqua Deluxe Drying Towel, much better for the paintwork less chance of scratching.

2 Buckets one for wash the other for rinsing your wash mitt before putting it back on the car.

Lambs wool or microfiber wash mitt

Mitt and separate bucket for washing wheels.

I am finding the list is endless :D

As for actual products you wont go far wrong with AutoGlym, Meguiar's etc Clean And Shiney are a good supplier.

Silly question which Nilfisk do you have as I am looking at picking one up tomorrow but cant decide which model to get.

A foam attachment for your washer to start with. Ideally two buckets (with grit guards)
A decent shampoo (meguiars gold glass) rinse off. clay with say farecla g3 body prep clay mitt. dry with any decent drying towel then see if you've enough interest to start polishing and waxing and titting with black tyre gel etc
