Well I was bored today so i thought i would clean my G15. So i took off all the keys and saw what a mess it was underneath.

So i got out the Dison, and started sucking away. But the bits of food did'nt move, After further inspection i realised the bits of food was not in fact food but was mould!

So i got the Brilo pad out and started scrubbing, this didnt move it either. So i got the knife out and started scratching away. I have no managed to remove most of it, but in the corners there is still food and bits being stubbourn.

Has anyone got any idea what i could try to remove this stuff. Its disgusting lol

Cheers

All I can say is I'd hate to imagine what could be alive in my keyboard.... Its had so much stuff dropped on it. :p
Turn it upside down and loads of crumbs fall out

My keyboard comes apart and all I do is run the membrane under a tap with some fairy liquid and it comes out ever so soft :) Then just leave to dry and hey presto 1 clean keyboard. What I find the most work though is cleaning the individual keys, hate it so much in fact that I bought a job lot of keyboards and every few years now just chuck the old 1 away and unwrap a new 1 :)

^^ I did think about it but i dont think that is covered under waranty. Dison need to invent a mould removing hoover i think. And them mini keyboard hoovers are just not good enough for this job. I managed to get most of it off now. So going to start putting the keys back on. It did take the following to clean:

- Dison
- Knife
- Fork
- Spoon
- mini screw Driver
- Mr Sheen
- dust cloth
- My finger
- brilo pad
- water :D

Next is the mouse, see how much **** i can get out of it. :d

PS - i dont fancy putting a load of water on my G15 lol, with my luck im having at the moment with PC parts *cough* RMA *cough* it might not work afterwards
