I will be cleaning the thermal paste off my 2500k in the next couple of days.
I've got some Akasa TIM cleaner and I bought some microfibre cloths from the supermarket today, will these cloths be ok to use?

Thanks

In all seriousness, there's no need to be too delicate with them as long as you're not being silly. Microfibre cloth or kitchen roll, s'all good!

Girlfriends nail polish remover, tissue and cotton ear buds to get any stuck in strange places, then after that a quick blow to remove any bits of dust or tissue fibers that may have settled there. Comes out very clean and ready to reapply new TIM, been doing that for over 20 years and works great.

I use a simaler method to this nail polish remover and kitchen towel never had any probs.

I use IPA. I work for a print company that buys it in at 75L at a time. That should clean a few CPU's off for a while :D

I use IPA followed by whiskey, then when I'm blotto i just gaffa tape it to the bonnet along with other electricals that need a dust off, then drive through the local car wash, and before you ask I get the wife to drive as I'd be drunk - I'm not stupid :)
