I have a Cooler Master Wave Master and after five years it's starting to look a little scratched, particularly on top. Is there a fairly simple way of polishing out the fine scratches? I'm not after a mirror finish, just something a little tidier.

it's very hard work to polish metal that's scratched, especially the thin stuff....my advice is dont bother............spray the case instead.

because to get rid of scratches you have to rub it down with Wet and Dry first, polish will not remove scratches...a scratch is too deep...even a fine scratch..you'll always see it after polishing!

bare Aluminium/ Stainless Steel is so easy to scratch...... you only have to look at it and it scratches, the inside of my new Lian case is fine, but the HDD tray that i luckily don't need...is scratched to hell........... it's been scuffed on something.

mind you, everything scratches doesn't it.............even a 1/2 million quid Rolls Royce.

Fair enough. I have some Autoglym metal polish for the car, so I might give that a go, but I have a feeling you're right - there are loads of scratches concentrated on the top (no idea how I've managed it).

I'm not sure I can be bothered with the cost and hassle of painting it, so I guess I'll just put up with them!

Depends on the depth of the scratches, but I have used Autosol Metal Polish, which is great for cleaning my motorbike wheels (aluminium) its fairly abrasive, but leaves a mirror finish, worth checking out (£2.50 a tube) and try it on an inconspicuos (sp) area.

i use a similar metal polish, with an electric drill and a polishing disc, it'll definitely make your case shine...( ALLY)

but it wont remove scratches from S.S, you'll notice then in the sunlight......because i tried to polish my scratched Seiko Chronograph...NO WAY, it needs to be sent off to a specialised Watch repairer....he's got all the equipment, it'll cost about 70 quid.
