Cleaning up my Samsung Notebook

Hi,

My Samsung Notebook hard drive appears to be full - there also appears to be two drives although I think this might be a split drive. Drive C where all the programs are stored is showing a capacity of 108 Gb with only 3.5Gb remaining and I have moved my data files to Drive D which apparently has 104Gb and loadsa space available.

I've been looking through the program files to see what is eating up all the space but cannot figure it out. I downloaded a registry cleaner the other night which was supposed to be free and it said there were hundreds of not needed files but to get rid of them wasn't free after all - I decided to remove it instead but then my system crashed and I had to reboot in safe mode only to find that there wasn't enough room to use the 'restore' program.

After a bit of fiddling and removing of files I knew were unnecessary I managed to get restore to work but wondered if there was a way to clean up the drives completely or even merge the two 'drives' back together without losing any of my files. I've tried clearing rubbish out of both drives using the inbuilt programs such as disk cleanup and I have ran my c-cleaner several times but still cannot get my main drive down to a manageable level.

Any ideas?
Thanks
Vikki :)
