Welcome to my disgusting thread, no pictures though :p

Had a few friends round last night and some drinks on the go. One guy went off to make a phonecall and we never saw him again. Found him at 4am face down in his own vomit :/

On my mattress :(

Firstly in the short term: How do i clean this up in the most effective way? Searching via google is fine but I wouldn't mind some real world answers :)

The stain is also on the carpet too.

Secondly: Would it be better/quicker at this point to toss the mattress and get a new one?

Thanks :)

clean as best as you can with some kind of carpet/upholstery/steam cleaner.

The smell will remain but leave bicarbonate of soda on it for a couple of days.. this should get rid of the odor.

Agree on make the **** head buy a new matress. That smell will be around for a while...

Specially as it has soaked through.

It gets worse :(

He made an effort to clean up, the carpet and bedframe are fine but smelly.

Half hearted effort at the mattress and has merely flipped it over :( Like you said that's soaked through :(

I'm thinkning new mattress now.

*****SPEC ME A MATTRESS*****

Double mattress preffered. Suggestions?

Those foamy stain removers for couches should work well. Last time I used one you pressed the nozzle against the fabric, pressed the trigger and a load of foam got pushed into the fabric and spread out getting rid of the stain and the smell.
