Cleaning Water Blocks.

Anyone got a good guide on cleaning / shining up water blocks?

After 2 years of use my blocks have gone dull, black marks etc. Is there a way to clean them up and make them shiny again?

I've tried;

Boiling water + vinigar, lemon + salt and even Cilit Bang!

Cilit Bang worked the best, but there still marked and dull.

I shal try ketchup, if that does not work... phill0i what cream / liquid do i use with the wire cleaners?

warm soapy water should do it but i guess you could use it with barry scott
