Clear Decking Oil

I need to clean all the green from my deck soon, what's the best way? I've seen brooms in the garden centre but instead of normal bristles they have metal spikes for scraping.

Any oil you use on wood will change its colour slightly, as you're adding moisture to it so even if it's clear, it'll darken it a bit.

^Very true, ive found that even water based varnishes will colour softwoods, though it takes a bit longer to do so than a solvent based product.

Used my pressure washer last year but man it was hard work, took 2 hours and didn't bring it up as good as I had hoped.

I've just spent hours on mine with a pressure washer with same result a bit disappointed, all my teak garden furniture like new but the deck still a bit green

I've opted for some Oxygen Bleach to clean the deck, have to wait for it to come through because I couldn't find it in a shop. Apparently it's the safest stuff to use with good results. Reading about suggests that using a pressure washer is a bad as it damages the wood.

I think the more opaque stains protect from UV better. Clear has basically no protection. It's not just moisture that damages it.
