Hi

I am trying to create a new bootable CD with Windows XP Pro, using nLite. The problem I am having is that nLite is referring to settings that were previously used on other CDs I created, which I don't want to use on my new boot CD.

I want to create a bootable Win XP Pro CD with no unattended settings etc.

Any help appreciated.

Phil

One of the first screens you get when you load nLite is the option to use previous presets. You should be able to remove them on this screen.

You could also not enter any settings for the unattended bit and set the option to 'fully attended' (i think that's it anyway) instead of one of the unattended modes.

bledd will be here soon to clarify :p

Go to your nLite folder. Say C:\Program Files\nLite. There should be a folder called 'presets'. Delete all the files and you should be tickety boo.

plus

you need to copy over your xp disc again if you're using different settings, it won't automatically load the previous settings for a new source unless you tell it to

Everytime I do a new nLite I always start with a new copy of my XP. I've got it zipped up, so I just unpack it and point nLite to the new folder.
