Yep, finished it and lion king using a joystick on amiga when I was about 6, lion king remains my greatest achievement.

something about it does not grab me... cant put my finger on it but i prefer the gritty image of the 16 bit release.

main issue holding back desert strike on the amiga was only 1 firebutton. (was an issue with a lot of games to be honest)
