I have had my new PC i built myself doe 6 months now and for 3 months its been on and off with this clicking noise that gets louder enough to hear through a headset when playing games. I have checked it not my hard drives or any of my fans but it does sound like its coming from my cpu cooler (H100i) one of the fans but its hard to tell still. It really frustrating me!

Any ideas on what i can do to find where it is, what it is and fix the annoying problem.

Just to add, it is usually after my PC has been left on for a while but it is getting more frequent and loud recently. Some times if i gently nudge the PC the noise will stop for literally a minute. It is just super bugging me

If you think its one of the H100i fans, while its making the noise gently apply finger tip pressure to the centre of the fan and slow it down or stop it.

If the noise vanishes then you know what the culprit is.

I'm right ahead of you, i have tried that when the noise occurs and it does seem to stop when i gently press the fan upwards. But its hard to tell, and if so what can i do for a permanent stop so i don't have to employ someone to keep pushing my fan upwards ;)

Update on this, after taking of and putting back on the corsair H100i stock fans then laying my PC flat and leaving it running for around an hour the noise of ticking/tapping/clicking has stopped.
I read it could be down to air pockets in the pipe and this helps get rid of them so it's fixed it for now :)
