Hi

I just installed an evga supernova. Upon hitting my power button a clicking noise comes from within the psu and I receive no power.

Is this just a faulty psu?

Thanks

Remove the PSU and do the paper-clip trick to check if the PSU is working.

Paper-clip trick = put a piece of wire between the green cable and one of the black ones next to it on the 24pin plug.

I have a 750W superFlower PSU (they manufacture EVGA PSUs too) and it clicks when I first hit the power switch and clicks again just before it shuts off. It works fine and I think the clicking noise must be coming from some kind of relay switch?.

Double check all the connections... 24-pin to the motherboard, 8-pin (or 4) for the CPU and the 6/8-pin PCIe connectors for your GPU.
