Is it possible to have air-con fitted into a car that doesnt come with it as standard ? im looking at getting a 1.4 04 or 05 fiesta soon which will more than likely not have air con as it just goes over my budget.

How much would it cost to have air con fitted, would it be worth it ?

ive seen a dial in the non climate fiesta which shows blue/red markings on it.. whats that for ? i'm guessing its something that heats up the inside of the car and cools it down on hot days or am i completely wrong ?

:p - are you actually serious?

Basic living 101 : Blue = Cold, Red = Hot, cars have heaters.....

You can retrofit but its not worth the cost.

The standard cooling/heating system found in most cars from circa 1929+?

Well i dont no nothing harldy about cars and i was just what the point of air con is if it comes with cooling already :p
Without aircon the best it can do is draw air in from the outside and blow it at you. aircon actually cools the temperature of the air in a similar way to how your fridge or freezer works then blows it at you.

Basically its the difference between trying to cool you down with 25'C air or 2'C air on a hot day.

the cold air will be the air taken from outside the car. so on a hot day its good for nothing. air con can cool the air to around 15deg.
