Clock keeps changing

It seems nothing will cure this most irritating of problems. So far, I've tried taking changing the time manually in Windows and in BIOS, synchronising it with an internet server, activating and reactivating the Windows Time service, taking out the BIOS battery and putting it back in, and also completely replacing the battery.

Still, the bloody thing keeps going out of sync, always jumping ahead of time at random points. I couldn't offer any sort of a pattern. It doesn't just happen when I turn the computer on, but also while I'm using it. Sometimes it will be 6 hours before it alters, sometimes 30 minutes.

PLEASE! Any ideas?!?!?

The thing is, it's a brand new computer. It's barely a month old and in that time I've been running virus scans and spybot scans fairly regularly (twice a week at least). I heard Spybot: Search and Destroy wasn't the most reliable though. Anything better?

I've already replaced the battery - can it really be that the one I got with the motherboard AND the new one I bought would both be duff?
