Clock speeds keep resetting?

I had an E2200 running fine at 3.1GHz on my Asus P5N-E SLI motherboard, but now I've reset the bios and installed a Q6600, everytime I change the FSB settings and the computer restarts the clock setting switches back to auto mode! Any ideas?

Have you checked the battery is seated properly?

Yes, all the other overclock settings such as vcore etc remain as I set them, just the fsb mode changes to auto from unlinked.

Updated the BIOS but it keeps doing the same thing.

Ok I've messed around with resetting the CMOS settings a few times and now it is saving the settings correctly. But CPU-z is displaying the wrong clock speed, BIOS says 3.2GHz but cpu-z only shows stock speed of 9 * 266?

strange have you tried setting the correct settings from within windows to see if the correct settings reflect in cpz?

How do I do that? It's strange because up to 3.1GHz it displays the correct speed. :confused:
