is it worth it? what sort of gains should i expect? how stable are AMDs OC'd? Mobo lacking usful OC features?

sorry, aint OC'd an AMD since the SKT A chips. did my old i7 with pretty stable results. i know all my parts are cheap components but still, any gains to be had?

Depending on cooling, you may get up to fsb = 250MHz ie 25% OC however you will need to fix PCIe at 100MHz, make sure ram is still within spec and HT, NB are not OCed overmuch.

This will depend on your motherboard capability.
