Okay trying this

CPU 1.6
RAM 2.4
NB 1.7
FSB and ICH all at MAX on bord BIOS volts

RAM 1:1

4-4-4-8-12

Read dealy is 7 via memset in Windows

I botted at stock clock 266.

I used Clock Gen and uped FSB to 270, clicked apply and it freezes.

Has been doing this everytime. This is the first time i have tried it at stock clock.

BIOS is a new beta job, 2301

In clock gen i am setting the right PPL, ICS 954123 and am clicking read clocks, nothing more happens and i then click exit to close that part.

Open PLL control and it's reading everything as it should be!

I have no idea whats doing it.

Clockgen version is 1.0.5.3 latest off there site!

Mobo P5W DH Deluxe and E6600

Asus P5W DH Deluxe doesn't like going over 400fsb in bios, i got 404 once then nothing more off her! Hard please her!

Hense clock gen, i got set fsband it worked, only prob max fsb set fsb allowed was 307

I don't think I was ever able to get Clockgen to work properly with my P5W DH.

Jokester

Booted fine at 404....guess i could up it 1mhz at a time via bios and rebooting

EFFORT

407 was the max. Thus 3.663Mhz

Tomorrow i wil have new cooling for, CPU, NB, Mosfets. Hoping it will help somewhat!

When I last used clockgen I had to up it 1mhz at a time

LOL i didn't think to try it, but fact it fails at stock kinda worrying, i shall give it a go

I had a giga**** board that would only clock in 5mhz increments in Windows past 220FSB. Took me ages to get to 300FSB. :o

I might wait till it cools down, roasting here then try the 1mhz step within windows with clock gen
