Clocking 920 Safe Temps

^ probably because it uses that as a base for all cpu's which is true for most except the i7's

i7's have unusually low idle temps but also unusually high load temps, anyway I wouldn't worry with an i7 until you reach 80C

also what load? Prime95? IBT? Games? if it's games then do a Prime95 Small FFT test and see what it gets to

This man speaks the truth...Keep it under 80c and all is golden.
 
is this true? why does speedfan show me flame icons when i hit 60?

I would'nt worry about the flame icons personally, its generally just letting u know that they are running Hot, but ofcourse we know this when its under load.

As the others have said, aslong as you are under 80c on the cores, there is nothing to worry about.

And unless u do, F@H, Rendering, lots of vid/photo editing, your unlikely to reach Prime/ibt load temps so i would'nt worry to much.
