I am a total newbie but assembled my system ok on Sunday and it runs smoothly(after i set the Dram voltages!!) plays Crysis etc no probs.
But i want to OC the CPU to a "stable" amount..(no living on the edge here I'm afraid)Can anyone suggest a run through of Bios settings for my MB and the order i should do them in and which programme to check core temps etc..At the moment i use uGuru (Which gives me the BSOD if i try to change it from anything other than default ) and my CPU temp at idle is 24C after playing a game my temps were (according to uGuru) Cpu 28C/Sys 30C/PWN ? 52C is that normal?
Any advice would be appreciated, i am willing to learn but dont want to run before i can walk..

If its BSOD'ing like that then check your ram volts. Up that to recommended by manufacturer to start with as its probably sitting at 1.8v.

My Cpu is roughly 2c cooler than my system temp, at idea. Though i have got a Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme heatsink with 1600 fan on it

yeh but the temp of the cpu can never cool down lower than the air thats rushing over it - unless the air near your cpu is cooler than near the system temp sensor? unlikely
