Hiya all,

just wanting a little info around clocking GTX 480's.

Both will be under water so im just wondering whats a reasonable overclock on these babies.

Also I have afterburner so I can play with voltages I believe. At the moment they are running at 700, 1401, 1848 on the settings 1012 on the voltage. This is stock.

So im just wanting to clock them a reasonable amount, not to insane levels so I can get a little more performance from them.

I could google all the info but I would rather get some first hand info from you guys,

Cheers all.

Hi

Had both mine clocked at 820 core and 4000 mem at stock volts any higher and they would need a voltage tweak.

This is with stock cooling of course.

That PSU tester is ridiculous I wouldn't even touch it.

Just loop Heaven or something instead.

isn't there quite a big warning about that OCCT psu tester about it damaging your system, not something I would run that is for sure

to the above question, it could well be you psu now, if occt has damaged it

With the unlocked bios many get theirs on watercooling to 900 core. Mine is at 875mhz atm with stock cooling...

I can only speak for a single card, but I'm running mine at 900/2100 with core voltage of 1100, perfectly stable here. Temps peak at 52oC.

HX1000 is good.

But the OCCT PSU test is mental.

It basically fully loads everything in your rig at once.

Nothing you play will EVER do that.

Mine are at 900Mhz under water, don't know what voltage is, I used the EVGA precision tool so just altered the core speed. Temps max at 50c.
Can get to 930 but just starts to artifact slightly in some games.

Nick I see your also running a 280. I presume its just for physx, any major improvements with it in the system?
