Want to clock, been reading the guides but I don't really want to be messing around with this PC as my others are broke at the moment and don't have a backup. I'm running on an Asus M2N-MX motherboard ( full spec in sig ) with the Swiftech Compact 120 kit. Idle temps around 30 degrees and load temps around 39 degrees (according to speedfan).

My stock speed is 2.5Ghz and was looking to get as high as possible without putting a lot of risk.

Was hoping that someone has clocked one of these chips and can show me the settings I need to clock higher, FSB etc. So I don't have to mess around and risk death of my chip.

My msn is - Iluvpie123 AT hotmail dot co.uk
If you want to speak on there that is.

Thanks In Advance
&
Kind Regards
Ben

I clocked mine to 2.8ghz on stock cooler and stock volts. Got it to 3ghz with just a little extra volts still on the stock cooler, so with water you could get 3.2-3.4ghz maybe.

I did have to underclock my ram as it stopped me going any higher than 2.8.

All you need to do is download prime95 and coretemp/realtemp. Up the fsb in the bios slowly. Boot into windows and run prime95. Keep an eye on temperatures. I wouldnt go above 60c. If it fails prime95 then increase the cpu voltage by the smallest amount you bios allows.

Thats about it i think.

Good luck.
