Haven't really ever overclocked a graphic's card before as I haven't really ever seen the need to. However I see it is becoming more and more popular and seeing as this is an overclocking forum at the end of the day, I suppose I could try my hand.

As I do know how to overclock CPU's I have an idea of exactly what it does, but overclocking a graphic's card is a different story as I've worked out already.

My questions are as follows:

What are the best overclocking programs to use for this card?
How do I know my overclock is stable?
What sort of clocks can be easily obtained from this card with a little tweaking?
Will the clocks be worth it in game (i.e. notice a difference in fps)?

I suppose you could say I'm an overclocking noob when it comes to graphic cards so go easy on me :D

Merry Christmas,

Dharok.

Hi, I'd asked same q yesterday, since spent a fair bit of time looking into it

I'm going to use Rivatuner and/or Gainward Expert Tool and/or NVTray, and use ATI Tool to check the max core & memory clocks, also 3DMark06 in a loop for 2-3 hrs

Clocks should be 575/1350/1800 you should be able to hit 630/1500/2000 for core/shaders/memory or possibly even more on the shaders

Hi - Got my OcUK GTX yesterday and now settled on clocks of GPU 650 / RAM 1050 ... I havent played with the shader yet but the 3dMark06 score with an E6550 @ 3.2 GHz is just over 13k :)

Temperature is up to 75C at those clocks without employing a third party fan profile management tool ....

I have used nTune thus far.
