hi there is it possible that you can really speed up your internet connection bay x2 .x5 ect like people make out they can on youtube

No it's not. Depends on what internet connection you have but you won't even see 2x the speed.

^ there are lots of tweaks you can do to tune a connection up, none are likely to double or quadrouple the speed unless there's something majorly broken with the setup to start with. Of all of them THIS is the only one that's guarantee'd to work.
