clocking orleans 3800+

hi guys,

i recently bought an am2 setup with the msi k9n neo and the amd athlon 64 3800+ skt am2 and i have stock cooler, i was wondering how to go about overclocking further.

i have changed the fsb in bios to 216 and my cpu is now running at 216 * 12, so im pretty much at 2.6 ghz (2592mhz) from the stock 2.4ghz.

what i was wondering was should i overclock further on stock heatsink/fan? idle my cpu temps are about 39 degrees, with load it can creep to near 50. are these good temperatures?

if all is well and it seems safe to go further how should i go about doing it? i heard about doing something with ram? a divider? would that help? and how/ should i lower multipier then increase fsb?

any help advice i will be extremely greatful of, especialy if its from k9n neo or am2 3800+ owners.

well we are a lively bunch today arnt we, well i overclocked further still, increade fsb to 225, meaning im at the big 2.7! not restarted once on its own acord and were looking stable, any answers on the first post yet?

Overclocking Guide

That chip has a max temp of 55-69°C from AMDs site.

Other than that, you temps seem a bit high for a single core.
