ok got the pc the other day set it up today so far

cpu on full load temps were 45 46 48 49 on the cores
When i was in the bios how do i set it so i can manualy set the fsb myself
I overlclocked the cpu by switching the cpu level up to one of the higher quads

3ghz so far

would keep an eye on the load temps.. run a prime95 every time you up the clock just to do a quick stability test.. make sure you stay under 75c load.. idle temps arent to bad especilly for the vcore

Setting overclocking in bios to "crazy" !! gets 3.51 G but when running prime it only does 3 cores and error on 4th what is the problem if i set it to auto overclock to 3ghz prime runs all 4 cores and its stable

Probably need more voltage. Don't use the auto settings in Bios.

Add me to messenger if you like and I'll talk you through the bios options. I remember the Maximus Formula SE and Extreme options off by heart. :o

dam this sux i cant get this thing stable its only stable at 3ghz Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 PC2-8500C5 1066MHz Dual Channel Kit (BL2KIT12864AA1065)
thats the ram i have does anyone have the same mix?

Word of warning: I have a similar vid to you. I needed allot more volts to get to 3.6 from 3.5. Currently @ 1.49

Booting is one thing, but you really want to stress test it to ensure it's stable. As a general rule, you want to keep you ram at the recomended volts and on very slack timings 5-5-5-15 to rule out ram related issues when you either don't post or BSOD whilst stress testing.

i do strees test and it fails with the ram i use is Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 PC2-8500C5 1066MHz Dual Channel Kit only stable max 3ghz should i get better ram?
Thought i could get 3.6ghz stable on this board and ram
