CLOCKS go forward this weekend - BST

I'm so confused.. I thought the clocks go forward at 2am... but the time on my computer says 2:40am.

And the time on my phone says 3:40am. I have to be up for work soon and I'm so confused!

The clocks went forward at 1am thus making it 2am when the clock struck 1. The time now is 3am, for some reason your phone is ahead by an hour.

I wondered what happened in clubs/pubs where they kick out a 2am?

I like BST. The clocks in work always show UTC and even though I always know this, I get a good feeling when I realise it's an hour closer to home time than the clock shows. I'm like that meme with the baby holding his fist up.

yeah i work in UTC and BST at work too
first weeks crap as the USA dont change till next week so it throws off the timings

All that worrying over my iPhone alarm going off, well 5am this morning, my phone goes off. Looks like Apple final fixed the bug, jumped in my car to drive to work, 4:30! lol good think I hadn't changed my car clock yet, that would have been laughable, turning up for work an hour early lol

I don't know why we don't just have one universal time for every country, yeah it would be confusing at first, 1pm in one country would be bright sunshine, whereas 1pm on the otherside of the world would be night lol.

Maybe we could just have universal time and remove the am/pm part, just use 24 hour so 1300 could mean am in one country and pm in another.

Like I said, confusing at first but it would save us having to mess with the clocks

We do, UTC.

Would be better to stick to BST, means it doesn't get dark ridiculously early in the winter.

Some of us do like to be outside :p

But some of us like to walk to work in the light rather than it getting light at 10 am...;)

But mow we're just getting back to the age old argument. We have 8 hours of sunlight in winter. Either it is pitch black when you get up and go to work and just getting dark when you leave, or its just getting light when you get up and go to work and pitch black when you leave.

Pick your favourite, mine is the latter as it's going to be dark at 5:30pm either way.
