I got up at 05:00 BST and now I'm beginning to feel wrecked.

Well yeah, in the summer its light, but not exactly light to the point of not needing headlights on
The clocks going forward doesn't create more daylight.

It was most likely not the paper-boys fault. When I used to to deliver newspapers on a Sunday they would normally show up around an hour late when the clocks went forward as they would lose an hour when printing them.
Is my iPhone going to wake me up in the morning? if not it COULD cost me a job, I need to buy a proper alarm clock, luckily I have a work phone, so iPhone 3GS, and an iPhone4,

I woke up and remembered the clocks needed changing, but I couldn't work out if the alarm clock, time on Freeview and time on my phone was correct as they were all the same time.
Turns out they all changed themselves automatically, which is great as I didn't have to do anything, but it was really confusing until I started waking up a bit

Er, no.
He started work at 8pm.
Clocks went foward 1 hour at 1am.
He finished work at 8am.
He's worked 11 hours instead of 12 and hasn't started an hour earlier.
